the dishwasher and the laundry keep winning

i feel so busy and so lazy at once

pacing the kitchen

kicking fur like

spaghetti western tumbleweeds

water your plants

i mean it

they don’t prep you for plant parenthood

a coworker once told me

she managed to

kill a snake plant

big red flag

the pup swirls

circles ankles

panting prancing probably certainly definitely needs a walk

funnily enough

the dog domesticates you

when all is said and done

when the washing has been folded

and the bathroom has been deep cleaned

and the dog is snoring like a god’s gurgle

i put my feet up

and with a sigh

i

say

yep
